The short version: your study material and progress stay on your device. We don't sell your data, and you don't need an account to use the basics.
What we store
Your notes, decks, progress, and settings are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. They aren't uploaded to a Cadence server or tied to an account.
AI features
When you use the AI lessons or tutor, the text you submit is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate your study content, and handled under Google's terms. Don't paste anything you wouldn't want processed by a third-party AI service. If you use your own API key, it's stored only in your browser.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, run third-party ad trackers inside the study tools, or share your material with anyone beyond the AI provider needed to generate your lessons.
Payments
When paid plans launch, payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
